Social Studies

Ms. Perkins received her Bachelors degree in Health Science from Morris College. She received her Masters in Arts in Teaching from South Carolina State University.

Ms. Perkins has been teaching social studies for five years. She has been teaching at Whittaker for three years and loves interacting with the students.

I was born in El Paso, Texas.  However, I grew up in Centerville, Texas from the age of 4 until graduating middle school.  I attended Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina. I also attended South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina WHOOP!  I love everything to do with SC State. I love the football games, the traditions, etc.

This is my fifth year of teaching.  I started my career in Fairfield County School District where I taught fourth grade. I moved to Orangeburg in April of 2008.  I commuted for two years and then was able to join the Whittaker team.  This is my third year at Whittaker, and I am honored to be part of the staff.

I have three amazing men in my life Shaun, LaQuan, and Landen. We have one goldfish, named lucky.

Thank you for trusting me with your child's 4th grade education.  It is a precious job that I enjoy.
